IMG Recruitment was founded by a physician who navigated the international medical graduate pathway firsthand — and then spent years helping others do the same. That perspective is the difference between sending you applications and sending you physicians who are genuinely ready to practice.
Our Story
Built by Someone Who Lived It
Most physician recruiters learn the international pathway from the outside. We learned it the hard way — by going through it. Licensing exams, credential evaluation, visa categories, the gap between a strong CV and an actual offer: we know these obstacles because we faced them ourselves.
Over the years that followed, we built something rare: a trusted relationship with international physicians at the exact moment they’re planning their move to North America. We’ve guided hundreds of them through the pathway and into positions at leading institutions across the US and Canada. That work gave us two things no traditional recruiter can easily replicate — a deep, engaged network of physicians who come to us, and a genuine understanding of what makes each of them ready (or not) for a given role.

Dr. Rajeev Iyer, MD
Dr. Iyer is a board-certified anesthesiologist actively practicing in Philadelphia and has navigated the medical graduate pathway in both the USA and Canada firsthand — from visas and licensing to securing a position in North America.
After making that journey, he spent years guiding other international physicians and US/Canadian graduates through the same process, helping doctors reach positions at leading US and Canadian institutions. Dr. Iyer founded IMG Recruitment to bring that insider expertise directly to the hospitals that need this talent.
